» Merryvale is the name of the winery
» 2003 is the vintage (the year the grapes were harvested, must be 95% from that year)
» Sauvignon Blanc is the grape varietal (75% must be of that type)
» Napa Valley AVA (approved viticultural area, at least 75% of the wine comes from that area)
» Juliana Vineyard (100% of the grapes are from that vineyard)

If no AVA (approved viticultural area) is named (e.g. just California) then 100% of the grapes come from anywhere in California.
