SoNapa!
About Us
The SoNapa Story
SoNapa was born out of a common bond, the passion for wine. When the partners began discussing the concept of a wine venture and shared this love of wine and the idea of the business with family and friends, two things occurred; many close relationships were formed and SoNapa was born. Such is the bond shared by wine lovers – a bond that transcends all barriers and brings people together.
SoNapa quickly grew from a wine club among friends to a wine bar and restaurant where friends could gather and share life while enjoying a glass of wine paired with light gourmet fare in a relaxed, friendly environment. A passion for wine had grown into the perfect business.
This had all begun many years earlier. Adam Barringer brings a lifetime of experience working with one of the most respected restaurant chains in the country. Adam spent fifteen years as an Operating
Partner with the Outback Steakhouse and Bonefish Grill and brings the knowledge about serving great food and doing it consistently to the venture. He also holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial Ventures and a doctoral degree (PhD) in Leadership. During his time in the restaurant industry Adam also began his love affair with wine and spent extensive time in sommelier training. During this training, Adam was exposed to the endless wine possibilities, and developed an enthusiasm for California wines, realizing that almost every variety of wine could be grown from the Napa Valley and Sonoma County regions.
Michael Kosmas is a childhood friend and fellow wine enthusiast who shared Adam’s desire to get more involved in the wine business. With an MBA in Marketing and extensive experience as an executive in the hospitality industry in Marketing and Finance, Michael adds an attention to branding and marketing that separates SoNapa from others in the wine and restaurant industry. Michael is also intimately involved in the continuing development of the SoNapa Wine Club, a unique membership opportunity that provides wine at cost, exclusive events and additional member-only opportunities.
